It's been quite a journey, MINE and that of all of us, volunteers and beneficiaries alike, at H.S.F.W:

I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure.

Charity

We believe in giving to people who feel more helpless than a whole lot others who have a community of friends and family that cares and reach out to help them get by.

Support

Even after training our beneficiaries ways to earn on their own, we have coined, for ourselves at H.S.F.W, the habit of constantly reaching out to enquire if there is more we could do to help while they slowly build.

Every now and then, we hold skills acquisition programmes to empower widows in assisting them towards bankable income generation after which we give them startup seed/grant.

Hire-Able Hands

Although this isn't one of the reasons why H.S.F.W was founded, several people have been trusting us with the free service of hiring some of our trustworthy beneficiaries, who are in need of jobs, as members of staff.

Food Drive

This is our annual event that often holds every third Saturday when we give food stuffs and cooking items to our 500+ card bearing beneficiaries in the spirit of Christmas.

Medical CheckUP

Over the years, we have made dedicated time and resources, in conjunction with individuals and organisations such as Jasons Health International, to provide quality medical checkup and giving of medicines, eyeglasses and not limited to wheelchairs.

Partnered Acquisition

Hope Soars Foundation for Widows (H.F.S.W) partners with other NGOs in empowering our beneficiaries and also giving them kits to startup on their own so they are able to cater to the needs of their wards.

H.S.F.W Educate All

Every year we partner with elementary, secondary and tertiary schools to enroll widows who are willing to go back or continue their education as well as widow's child(ren).
